52.1m Super Yacht April built by the Dutch shipyard Amels was launched in 2010.

April was due for a big refit in 2020 and we were approached in 2015 as the paint was looking tired and patchy, Wrapping was put on the table as a way of giving her a constant colour and gloss until the next major refit.

April had a reasonable amount of corrosion works that needed doing before the wrap was applied, these corrosion works were then filled, faired and then primed with Awlgrip 545. The primer was flatted back with 600 grit before wrapping.

A major benefit of wrapping over primer is that the corrosion work and subsequent build up to primer doesn't need to be done under cover - additionally as no tenting is required as no spraying was required.

The wrap took 14 days to complete and included water lines and the transom area.
