52m Falcon

FALCON is a 52.0 m Motor Yacht, built in Italy by Benetti and delivered in 2004.

The original colour is white, and the owner wanted to have a more contemporary look, choosing to go for a grey hull and leaving the superstructure white.

Wrapping is a good solution for this as the yacht is already painted, to the only thing that needs to be done is the actual colour change.

Advantages to the owner when wrapping are:

• Short Yard Time

• Simple Logistics

• Significantly lower cost than spraying

• Constant gloss and colour - 1st time.

Falcon was wrapped in Aykin Shipyard in the winter, with no tenting. - not ideal as it was very cold and started snowing so the project was split in two as we waited for the best weather window to continue.

Just the simple thing of a hull colour change, can give the yacht a totally different look and feel.

Falcon needed some small corrosion works around the anchor pockets, which was undertaken by the yard prior to wrapping.
