55m Turquoise

The award winning 55.4m award winning motor yacht 'Turquoise' by the Turkish shipyard Turquoise Yachts, and delivered in 2011.

A new owner took over the yacht and wanted to change the look of her, by changing the colour of the hull from white to Anthracite Grey. The order was confirmed during the Monaco Yacht Show 2015

Working with the captain a yard was chosen: Port Denia, near Alicante in Spain.

Some minor corrosion works were under taken before the wrap was applied, around hull doors. The corrosion works were filled, faired and primed with Awlgrip 545 - which was then flatted back with 600 grit in preperation for the wrap.

The Captain of M/Y Turquoise comments:

‘Last year, the Wild Group team colour matched Matterhorn White for the aft overhangs on decks one and two. Both the crew and the owner were very happy with the completed job, plus it saved the owner both time and money…and as we have a very busy charter schedule during both the Mediterranean and Caribbean seasons, this was a real deal clincher. Our owner is very hands on with the yacht and since we required a hull re-finish post Med season this year, we collaboratively decided that contracting Greg and his team to give Turquoise a brand new look was the best choice to make. The results are outstanding, and the job has been completed in good time which is essential as we are on our way to pick up our first charter in the Caribbean in December. Everyone from the crew, to the management, to the yacht owner are pleased with the way the yacht looks, which is quite a feat I am sure anyone in the industry can agree!
