Motor Yacht Aviva, 68m Abeking & Rasmussen owned by Joe Lewis (Owner of Tottenham Hotspur) is a yacht that does a double season moving between the Caribbean and the Med every year.
13 years after launch, the hull paint was losing its gloss and was becoming patchy, additionally there were corrosion works to do around the beach club door on the transom.
As the yacht was in a double season schedule, this didn't leave much time to respray and so wrapping was explored and went ahead.
The wrap was applied over 18 days in the water in Rybovich, Florida
The corrosion work on the transom door was carried out by the yard and left as Awlgrip 545 flatted back to 600 grit - then the wrap was applied over the top.
The yacht was resprayed two years later as per schedule in her 15 year refit.
