What is it?: A high-grade, ultra-transparent, polyurethane or TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) film designed to be virtually invisible once applied. It protects the surface underneath and is very easy to keep clean.
Ideal for Marble: Marble is porous and can be easily stained by wine, coffee, oils, and acidic foods. PPF offers an invisible, non-porous barrier that is very easy to maintain.
Superb on Highly Varnished surfaces: Varnish shows finger marks and can scratch easily - PPF is good at preventing both of these.
Ideal for hulls: provides additional protection behind exhausts to prevent staining and simplifies the cleaning of soot.
Wonderful on Stainless: Stainless steel galleys, really show hand prints - PPF will prevent this and facilitate easy wipe down cleaning.
Crystal-clear transparency – maintains the natural look of the surface (like polished marble or glossy gelcoat).
Self-healing – small scratches and swirls disappear with heat (sunlight or warm water).
UV-resistant – protects surfaces from yellowing or sun damage.
Non-yellowing adhesives – essential for long-term clarity.
Hydrophobic – repels water, oils, and stains.
Thicker & more durable than wrap film (typically 6-8 mil vs. 2-3 mil for vinyl wraps).
The example below is a full wrap of a 30m chaseboat, that will be spending a lot of time in Dubai. The PPF (paint protection film) will prevent damage from sun and sand.
